Based in Finland, we are dreaming to become a sustainable Arctic tourism planning and advising pioneer. Enter the Arctic
China is currently in the process of becoming one of the world’s largest source markets for tourism. In the near future, the Far North, the Arctic regions are expecting to receive important flows from China. Hence, the project will focus on providing a comprehensive knowledge on the Chinese tourists in the Arctic. Meanwhile, our research will shed light on how local community to deal with the new changes requires investigation in the host-guest interaction and relationship. Tourism related products and services providers, local residents and other stakeholders in the Arctic will also be involved as essential participants.
Dreamlike Dolomites
This research project is to produce a better understanding and fulfilment of the experience of the growing Chinese tourists flows in the Dolomites, Italy. Based on a systematic multi-designed qualitative research, a comprehensive analysis of Chinese visitors’ motivation and expectation will be profiled. A package of strategies including targeting reaching and attracting Chinese customers could be developed accordingly, in order to give a valued, unique experience that will fulfill the expectations. The final result will be an advanced guidance for the region to be well-prepared to welcome the forthcoming Chinese tourist flows and, give the stakeholders a comprehensive profile of these new customers.
